In the summer of 2020, the French chef Jean Imbert, revealed in the show Top Chef, created the restaurant ToShare in collaboration with Pharrell Williams in the posh city of Saint-Tropez.
In 2021, the chef is back in Ibiza this time! This time, it is with the collaboration of the restaurant-club Silencio located in the bay of Cala Moli that the chef starts a new culinary adventure by piloting the Iberian replica of ToShare.
How did the ToShare Iberian adventure begin?
When the managers of Silencio in Ibiza started talking to Jean Imbert, their initial idea was to offer a fun, qualitative and colorful culinary concept. The French chef then automatically thought of the concept of ToShare in Saint-Tropez, which aligns with these same ideas and represents a perfect concept for travel.
Chef Imbert, who had never before had the opportunity to put his talents at the service of Ibiza, embarked on this new adventure and destination that offers fresh and authentic products according to him.
It is thus at the beginning of the summer of 2021, one year after the opening of ToShare in Saint-Tropez, that the ToShare in Ibiza opened.
A menu inspired by the island of Ibiza itself
To create the menu of the restaurant ToShare in Ibiza, the French chef Jean Imbert was inspired by the local customs and traditions of the island, you will find in particular: grilled fish, vegetables from Ibiza only and dishes to share.
The chef has also been able to create brand new dishes thanks to the products found in small local producers. He also recommends 3 signature dishes not to be missed: the iconic ToShare dishes according to him, which are the melon, the cookie and the avocado, all to be enjoyed with the soundtrack of Pharrel Williams and his hit “Happy” or the album “Future Nostalgia” by Dua Lipa.
Chef Imbert’s other projects
In addition to managing the ToShare restaurant in Saint-Tropez and in parallel to the ToShare in Ibiza, Chef Imbert has also taken over the helm of the Plaza Athénée in Paris during the year 2021. A project that was also very close to his heart, as he recounts that he was only 18 years old when the former chef of the Plaza Athénée, Alain Ducasse, arrived at this starred restaurant and that it had always made him dream. Describing himself as self-taught, having grown up in the suburbs of Paris and aged less than 40, Jean Imbert had announced on the social network Instagram his joy and pride in taking over the succession of the greatest chef on the planet according to him, thanking him for his support as well as his valuable advice.
Let’s not forget Jean Imbert’s other culinary projects around the world such as his own restaurant in Paris, initially named l’Acajou changing later to Mamie, or his restaurant in collaboration with Pharrell Williams in Miami, Swan.
ToShare in Ibiza is well on its way to becoming an incredible success, as are the other restaurants of Chef Jean Imbert.
